about

Our final release of 2021 arrives with remixes of Stereo Minus One's single, 'Switched', from two Welsh electronic music luminaries, David Handford (DJ Methodist, Post Office records) and Sam Arnold (Mountain Men Anonymous, Zail).

Both artists provide wildly different but equally compelling takes on Dan's original tune which was released in October this year. We're feeling the remix since we dropped the Starlings remix 'Six-Two, Minus One' in September and there will be more to come with Remixes, Vol 2 arriving in early 2022.

On 'Switched', label founder Dan Haines Cohen continues to try to live up to the review that described his debut album as "A kind of post-apocalyptic anti-dance electronic sound-germ warfare experiment... intriguing, intense and strongly evocative of debris-strewn ruins."

ABOUT STEREO MINUS ONE

Dan has been releasing music on Machine Records, and elsewhere, since founding the label in 2001.

Live performance highlights have included supporting the likes of Mira Calix, Mike Paradinas, and with Shoji Hano and Gary Smith. Having dinner with braindance legend Cylob was also a lot of fun. Dan ran the monthly Terminal club night from 2003-2006, bringing ground-breaking live electronics like Chris Clark and The Doubtful Guest to the Welsh capital.
